New polling by YouGov shows that just 13% of people think that the Brexit proposal put forward by the Government after the Chequers summit will be good for Britain. 42% think it’ll be bad for Britain.
Commenting, Paul Williams MP, leading supporter of the People’s Vote campaign said:
“With the Chequers Car Crash falling apart after just a few days, the public are not buying Theresa May's offer on Brexit.
“It's obvious why the Government's proposed Brexit deal is so unpopular: it comes with a £50 billion price tag, it leaves us with a worse relationship with the EU than we have now, and abandons our entire service sector, 80% of our economy, to fend for itself.
“The Brexit on offer is clearly not one the British people are willing to accept. That's why we need a People's Vote on the terms of Brexit, so that the people of this country can decide whether or not the deal is good enough.”
