Tunbridge Wells - Defend Our Democracy / Stop No Deal

Join Tunbridge Wells - This Saturday outside the Forum at 12.30pm

As time counts down towards the scheduled Brexit date of the 31st October, it's incredibly important that Tunbridge Wells is loud and clear in its opposition to a No Deal Brexit. Last weeks announcement from Boris Johnson that our Parliament, will be frozen out of an extended opportunity to challenge a damaging no deal Brexit, betrays the idea that Brexit is about making the UK a more sovereign country.

Following protests around the UK we feel it is important that Tunbridge Wells lends its voice to the protests. It is also vital that our MP Greg Clark understands the importance of supporting any legislative route to blocking a no deal Brexit. This voice needs to be loud so I urge you to put plans aside to make sure the protest is well attended. Please spread the word to anyone you know who supports Parliamentary Democracy and understands the negative impact a no deal Brexit will have on communities across the UK.

For these reasons we are delighted to have cross party support from Tunbridge Wells Green, Labour, Liberal Democrat and Conservatives for a People's Vote. We hope to have a number of speakers at the protest representing the range of supporters.

So please do what you can to attend this Saturday - the 7th of September. We will meet on the grass banking, by the Forum at 12.30pm. Please bring along your banners and placards. At 1pm we will start speeches by representatives of the community which leaves ample time for discussion afterwards with representatives from our local political parties.

Many thanks to the Forum and Jason Dorman for offering to support this event and providing the PA. Please let us know that you hope to attend by clicking the link below and emailing us.

See you on Saturday,
