The Prime Minister is travelling to Brussels today, looking for something to prop up her Brexit deal.
Commenting, Jo Stevens MP, leading supporter of the People’s Vote campaign, said:
“Today a weakened Prime Minister is in Brussels in the hope of some cosmetic adjustments to, and warm words on, her Brexit deal.
“But there is no form of Brexit that can meet all the promises made in the last referendum or a deal for leaving Europe as good as the one we’ve got in Europe. That is why, if her deal goes through, Theresa May’s visit today will only be the first in a series of such trips by a succession of Prime Ministers trying to make sense of a Brexit that makes no sense for Britain.
“The way forward for our country now is to hand the final decision back to the public: give us a People’s Vote.”
