The IoD have issued a poll of their members showing 48% think a No Deal would be more negative for their business than an extension of the Brexit deadline (22%).
Commenting Anna Soubry MP, leading supporter of the People’s Vote campaign, said:
“Boris Johnson continues to put his own interests before what’s best for Britain. I have no doubt Johnson wants a no deal Brexit; he thinks that’s good for him but it’s undoubtedly bad for jobs, business and entrepreneurs.
“With any prospect of a deal all but gone a growing number of businesses now support a People’s Vote, recognising it’s the only way out of the Brexit crisis. That’s why thousands of business owners and leaders will be marching in support of a People’s Vote in London on 19 October. Increasingly people are demanding a confirmatory referendum to give them a final say on Brexit.”
