Procession for a People's Vote

Procession for a People's Vote

Our final chance to take our People's Vote message out onto the streets - our next national action day is 12 January, the weekend before the EU withdrawal 'agreement' is voted on in Parliament.

We'll be the Pied People's Band: rather than blindly following the 'Pied Piper' Theresa May to a cliff edge Brexit, we will be marching and singing to demand a People's Vote.

We'll meet outside the Open Market on London Road at 12 to practice our Pied People's song (lyrics will be circulated later in the week!), paint faces, tie on some ribbons so that we are as bright and colourful as possible.

Then we'll march and sing our way through the North Laines past the library to end up in New Road, stopping in a couple of places along the way and talking to people as we go. We'll be encouraging Remain and Leave voters alike to join us in demanding a chance for the people to decide on Britain's future.

Let's make a big splash - so please bring family and friends, dress up as brightly as possible and bring placards, flags. And let's make a big noise as well! Bring megaphones, whistles, instruments, maracas, bells, tambourines.... - even pots, pans and wooden spoons will do nicely!
