Business leaders are reported to have told the Prime Minister that greater clarity on Brexit is urgently needed, while Number 10 have refused to deny that the Brexit White Paper has been delayed.
Commenting, Darren Jones MP, leading supporter of the People’s Vote campaign, said:
“The Brexit process is growing more shambolic by the day and it is no wonder business leaders are becoming visibly frustrated.
“The White Paper has been delayed indefinitely and the Government appears to have given up any hope of reaching a significant agreement at June's European Council.
“Yet at the same time they are trying to bounce Parliament into backing a hard Brexit with the UK outside the Customs Union and Europe's economic area.
“The worse the mess gets and the clearer it becomes that the Government cannot fix it, the stronger the case for a People's Vote on the final Brexit deal becomes.”
