Giving a voice to ethnic minorities on the Brexit deal
Ethnic Minorities for a People's Vote believes that the voices and views of ethnic minorities have been under-represented during the Brexit debate.
While a record-breaking number of ethnic minority MPs were elected in 2017, there have been calls to increase representation in certain parties, and there is still more work to be done in terms of challenging discrimination in political spaces.
Ethnic minorities will be hit harder by Brexit. The final Brexit deal runs the risk of widening the racial inequality gap. Research has shown that ethnic minorities are more likely to be worse off when it comes to employment and workers rights.
Nobody voted for these risks. That's why we are demanding a People's Vote on the final Brexit deal.
