Negotiations over Brexit remain at an impasse, after British ministers reportedly rejected a proposed ‘deal’ that officials had earlier agreed.
Commenting, Guto Bebb MP, leading supporter of the People’s Vote campaign, said:
“The latest round of confusion in the Brexit negotiations only serves to remind all of us how bad any ‘deal’ will be for British business, for British jobs and for the future for our young people. Any ‘deal’ will lock in chaos and confusion for years to come, as well as erecting barriers between us and our biggest market.
“The Prime Minister has tried her best, but throughout the last two years she has had to put more effort into negotiating with Jacob Rees-Mogg and his ERG group. That is why the gap between what we were promised and what is in prospect is growing wider all the time.
“All of these are reasons why we will see the biggest ever Brexit march this Saturday, and more people than ever are demanding a People’s Vote on any Brexit deal that emerges from this shambles.”
