Brexit Secretary Dominic Raab has indicated he expects a deal to be agreed on Brexit by 21 November.
Commenting, Phil Wilson MP, leading supporter of the People’s Vote campaign, said:
“All the talk of ‘no deal’ has been designed to create the false perception that MPs only have a choice between Theresa May’s bad deal and no deal at all. Yet all along the government have been confident they can cobble together a deal and so have been stringing the DUP along, to get them to vote for the Budget, and the ERG to make it look like they’ve driven a hard bargain.
“In reality, though, the best they can get is a blindfold Brexit where we have no idea of the final destination, but do know we’ll face years of uncertainty, economic decline and lost investment.
“Anything the Government bring back from Brussels will be a million miles from what was promised to voters. However you voted, you are being taken for granted by a Brexit elite who, even if their plan to force their shoddy deal on the country succeeds, will never have to pay the price for the mess they are creating.
“The way out of this disaster is for the people to take back control with a People’s Vote on whatever miserable deal Dominic Raab and Theresa May come up with.”
